People love to place Darth Vader gnomes in their garden and so we thought that it would be a great idea tot have a dedicated to the ultimate “baddie” of the Star Wars movie franchise.
We have previously written a general Star Wars gnome guide and a baby Yoda gnome and ornament page, and a Master Yoda gnomes guide and now it is the time for potentially the biggest bad guy of them all, Darth Vader.
Custom Darth Vader style Star Wars garden gnome
You can find this item here on Etsy and we love it as it is hand painted and a very high quality product in general.
Darth Gayder Gay Pride Gnome
You can see that this is similar to the ornament above however the center of it is painted in the rainbow pride colours and really gives it a lovely, Pride look! This ornament is approximately 8″ tall, can be used both indoors and outdoors as even his cape is made from a waterproof material. It is a handmade product by someone in the UK and the materials used are canvas, mod podge, glue, varnish, acrylic paint and Polyfilla.
Concrete Darth Vader Helmet Garden Ornament
I love how realistic this looks and how well concrete works with this kind of design. The level of detail here is very impressive as you can see the effort made with the detail on the front, middle section of Vader’s helmet.
You can buy this on Etsy here.
Who is Darth Vader?
Darth Vader, otherwise known as Anakin Skywalker, is the main antagonist in the classic Star Wars movies. He began life on the desert world of Tatooine and, after being discovered by Jedi, eventually left the planet to train to become a Jedi. However, he was lured to the dark side of “The Force” by Emperor Palpatine and this led to a fight with his mentor, Obi Wan Kenobi, which left him so injured that he needed major treatment with robot limbs and this helmet to help him breathe. His son, Luke Skywalker, also became a Jedi and Darth Vader saved his life from Palpatine and had to give up his own at the same time. Vader is one of the most iconic villains in movie history and possibly still the most recognisable to this day.
