There is a new Wallace & Gromit movie in the works and apparently it will feature a ‘smart gnome’! The new movie will be a BBC special and will be released around Christmas 2024 in which the smart gnome will develop a mind of its own. It is then up to Gromit to fight evil forces to enable Wallace to continue to invent things!
The movie is from the creator of the characters, Nick Park and his company (Aardman), and will be their first movie since 2008’s A Matter of Loaf and Death.
The BBC has a history of working with Aardman and often shows their movies over the Christmas period.
Charlotte Moore, Chief Content Officer says: “It’s incredibly exciting to be taking British audiences on a cracking new adventure with Wallace & Gromit and to be continuing our long relationship with Aardman and Nick Park following the success of Shaun the Sheep this Christmas.”
The film will be shown on the BBC in the UK and on Netflix around the world.
